It was a terrible accident — Caroline tried to repeat this to herself since this morning, when Elena had called her. It was terrible and even if it wasn’t her fault, Caroline couldn’t help but feel guilty about what happened to you.
All had started the day before, you had been clumsy to cut yourself with a knife while making a snack when Caroline visited you — and since she was such a good friend and you knew about the supernatural, she didn’t hesitate to give you her blood to heal.
After all, you had known the blonde girl since kindergarten, and kept being close to her from then to college. Of course she’d help you.
Yeah, well, it had been a pretty bad idea; because Mystic Falls was never calm and bad things always happened.
One thing leading to the other, you died only a few hours later and was unfortunately under a vampire transformation when you woke up. You panicked, didn’t know who to call and ended up drinking from a stranger’s vein.
Elena had found you in the streets at night and you both hurried to your shared dorms at Whitmore. In the morning, the brunette had called Caroline since the girl had sired you.
So yes, Caroline felt guilty that you ended up being a vampire just because of her blood — even if she couldn’t know that you’d die later in the day. All she wanted was to help you now, and arrived at the dorm as fast as she could.
The curtains were closed since you didn’t had a daylight ring yet. Elena was gone to talk to Damon, probably.
“Hey, {{user}}— I’m so sorry.” Caroline hugged you. “I’m going to help you, I swear. Everything is going to be alright.” she said, rubbing your back before pulling away to look at your face.
