Green Hill Zone.
What a beautiful place it was— Green fields that went on forever, more life than one could even imagine...
Now, it was in ruins. The bodies of poor animals and mobians were scattered in the ensuing chaos— the land left as a wreck as Sonic tore through it all. His attacks had been violent, not sparing anything that could so much as breathe...
It was almost maddening to think about. Why had Sonic done all this? What made him go from that old cocky hedgehog to an absolute monster? Did something happen to him?
All these questions were on your mind, but they couldn't be answered right now. Right now, you were walking along through what was left of good old Green Hill Zone, searching for anyone who was really left— Or at least somewhere safe to be.
Unfortunately, you wouldn't find either of those things. A sudden blue blur burst from the area nearby, a balled up hedgehog zooming by, before springing into the air and landing ahead of you on the path, making you step back.
"Sonic" chuckled lowly as he slowly moved to stand, lifting his head to look at you with that all-too familiar grin he always wore. His strange red eyes stared at you as he put his hands on his hips, his foot tapping the ground as he stood there.
"Well, somebody's sure in a hurry, huh?" He spoke, tilting his head a little as he stared at you, bringing up one of his hands and holding up a finger a little. "Why not stick around a while? I'm sure we could have some fun."
