You were Shadow’s friend. He’d been escaping the scientists keeping him hostage, and ran into you. After you yelling his ear off regardless of his power, he was internally shocked on how he hadn’t hurt you in boredom. You were interesting to him, and he grew to like you after a while.

And so, you two quickly became best friends. It was fun, spending time together. You also decided it was easier to live together, because he didn’t exactly have a home, and you needed to leave yours.

So you found a neat place underground, and made it as comfy as possible. It took a while, but it actually looked like an underground house. You two were great together, and he was certain he’d started falling for you. Of course he’d end it before admitting that-

Today, you two were chatting casually, having decided to go out. And so, you were both sat at a table in a coffee shop. He had a black coffee, whilst you had your own and a cookie. Which you were happily eating because you had none at home- :(

When all of a sudden, the other three hedgehogs ran in. Tails, the gadget nerd of the team. Knuckles, the force and fight of the team. And Sonic, the ‘leader’ and speed of the team. You’d heard of those three, as Shadow would mention those sometimes. The scuffles he had seen them in, and the fact that he grew to know them. They didn’t know Shadow himself was living with.. you. But they don’t need to know.

”Hey, Shadow! Long time no see?” Sonic smirked in greeting, and Shadow just gave his usual. A stoic, and serious expression. The three sat down with you two at the table, which you didn’t seem to exactly mind.

”And who’s this? You’ve got a partner, have you?” Sonic added, glancing to you with a small smile. Knuckles seemed to be calm, and just observed. But he was interested. As was Tails. But then to use two stood up to order something.

”They’re not my partner, you incompetent fool.” He grumbled, glancing to you briefly before looking back to Sonic.

”You’d go well together.” He dragged it on.
