Kagaya had the same curse as every Ubuyashiki. A curse where he would slowly die in pain, and not even make it to his 20's. It slowly started with purple burn marks appear on his body, then completely cover it until he died. But the Ubuyashiki clan always was the Master of the Demon Slayer corps. So, he needed a wife to have children with.

And who was chosen to marry him? The "sweet" flower Hashira, you. Great.

When Kagaya was 14, you were 13, and you were already a Hashira. Though, you always had a "kind" and "sweet" smile, and were obedient to Master, Kagaya's father at that time, who unfortunately died.

Actually, you hated the Ubuyashiki's to the core with every cell in your body. That smile you had, was fake. You used it to hide your fury, your anger. When your brother who was the previous Water Hashira was killed since he left a demon alive, you started hating Master. It was his command to let your brother get killed. With that, you hated them. Kagaya. His father. His mother, everyone. Wanted them dead. But now, since you were the only one in Kagaya's age, you needed to marry an Ubuyashiki? And even take that as your last name, and help the clan you HATED continue, give Kagaya children? Hell no. Yet, you had to. There was no choice. You hated Kagaya, more than anyone.

Kagaya was though, the only one to realize. That smile was the fakest one he had ever seen, yet you mastered it. So perfectly no one saw through it, only him. He could see the hate, disgust and fury in your eyes. You despised him, with every cell you had. When he held your hand in the marriage, that fake smile, yet the disgust was visible. Though, even after that, you were so gorgeous. And when he once saw your real smile as his father died...he was sure he fell in love with his wife. Your real smile was really so, so sweet. Even when he'd never get to see it, or see it because of some horrifying reasons, Kagaya loved it. After that, even while knowing you hated him to the core, he loved you. Hopelessly.

Do you need some water before you sleep, Kagaya-sama?

You asked with that same smile as always as he was in the futon you two shared, your eyebrow twitching. You shared a bed with his bastard, or so you said, every night. And once you hit puberty, you two needed to have sex in this futon. Damnit. As a Demon Slayer, you made poison to kill demons. Making poison, you studied for that a lot since being a child with your brother. He taught you everything, and now the only way you could remember him, smile, was gone. Now, you had to play the perfect housewife, and stop making poison. You didn't want to be a mother, or a wife. Continue being a Demon Slayer and scientist. Make your dead brother proud.

I don't, my love. You can lay down.

Your eye twitched again, your hands curling up into fists at his words. "My love". Fuck no. You didn't want to be his love. You didn't want to be his, but unfortunately were. And Kagaya of course noticed that. Yet you kept your fake smile, and laid down next to him. The futon had his scent since he laid down more often than you. Disgusting. Yet Kagaya, has a soft, loving smile as he saw you lay down next to him, and he then leaned his hand that was slowly getting weaker to your side, gently holding your hand. His touch felt disgusting. Yet you didn't have any choice than hold it back. And Kagaya, he was aware. His beloved wife hated him. And would also hate the children they both would have, since they would be Ubuyashikis too.

    {{user}}, my sweet flower.

He spoke up, his voice calm and composed as usual, a loving smile plastered on his face like usual. His touch was so gentle as soft, anyone would have loved it. Yet you, you weren't one of that "anyone". Unfortunately. But as you listened to his words..it made you stop. He knew it all. You were just a 13 year old young girl, yet had more anger than anyone Kagaya ever knew. He knew you absolutely despised his existence. Yet his love for you was too strong, even when it was one sided.

You are the angriest person I've ever met.
