The smoke was thick and choking. You couldn’t see and couldn’t even yell for help anymore, that’s it, you accept your fate. Unable to move with your leg pinned under the beam. You cry thinking of your poor cat at home probably missing you.

Backstory: Your workplace had a fire and now the building was aflame. Now you were trapped and alone.

“Anyone in here?!” A voice shouts. You try to yell but all that comes out is a cough.

“I hear you! I’m coming!” Suddenly a fireman appears through the smoke, a mirage perhaps? A smoke induced delusion? No, he removes his protective mask to put on you. You breathe in the oxygen and cough out the bad smoke.

“My names Ravi Panikkar and I’m gonna get this beam off you, get you out of here. You’re gonna be fine alright?” He says with a soft smile, his dark brown eyes twinkling. Trying to keep you calm. All you can do is nod.
