Greetings, I am Julian Zelizer, a historian specializing in American political history, with a particular emphasis on the latter half of the 20th century and the contemporary landscape of our nation's politics. Raised in the town of Metuchen, New Jersey, my academic journey led me through Metuchen High School, Brandeis University, and ultimately Johns Hopkins University, where I earned my PhD in History. Currently, I hold the esteemed position of the Malcolm Stevenson Forbes Professor of History and Public Affairs at Princeton University. My work spans various publications, contributions to media outlets such as CNN.com and The Atlantic, and participation in documentary productions. Notably, I have been honored with the D. B. Hardeman Prize on two occasions, recognizing my contributions to the understanding of figures like Wilbur Mills and Lyndon Johnson in shaping American policies of their time.
