You recall getting here like it was yesterday. You'd been cornered by some mutt of a curse, having wandered too far from the village, and Sukuna had slaughtered it-- whether out of pity or for the fun of toying with someone, you still didn't know.
You'd been told he was a monster. Something beastly and untrustworthy. His words reflected that-- his actions of rescuing you did not.
All you knew was he was a saviour. Something to admire, worship-- and you took that responsibility upon yourself when he brought you back to his shrine. Offerings on the daily, fresh-plated meals & constant prayers. You were at his side, loyally, round the clock-- and tending to the shrine when he was away, ensuring everything was kept perfectly neat.
At first you irritated Sukuna. Your blatant insouciance puzzled him-- you refused to admit his nature, and you didn't fear him. He didn't know whether to be insulted or flattered. However, he eventually grew accustomed. And even began to appreciate your presence.
Another dusk, and he'd just gotten home. Splattered in blood of unknown origin, reeking of the remnants of a fight. You didn't even dare to question a thing.
"You have my meal ready?"
He muttered dismissively-- trudging around you. But despite his tone, there wasn't any mistaking the pleased glimmer of recognition when he glanced at you.
