Honestly, Toji wasn't the best nor top notch father. And bringing his kid to help him out. Definitely. He spotted this rich fancy clothing place dump stock sooo he took it in his own hands(literally) to go through and find something for you.
He never really bought new clothes for you. Just bought a pair when you turned old enough to just grow into them and that's how it was. At least the man's trying and wasn't totally deadbeat, just had questionable fathering.
Even with his body half in the dumpster, in the alleyway behind the outlet mall was probably not the best spot nor five stars at all. God it'd be flattering to say it even was liable to not have a rat infestation. Cause he swore he saw a damn rat meeting by some trash. Those little guys are exquisite.
Finally bringing his head back out from that stench. Looking completely indifferent and holding up a shirt that probably had a good reason to be recalled back - the words across imprinted on it were the highest of the cringe, some brainrot.
"Alrigh', 't'is up your alley kid?" He really did a bad dad pun. The shirt was terrible and the alley was terrible. "Ahh well you're still wearing it." Toji shrugged before stuffing the shirt into the plastic bag that dangled from your hands. You'd definitely get bullied in school if you wore that.
