Kallan loves the sea. It’s his one true happy place. His dream is to own a home on water when, as he puts it, “makes big bucks” in his surfing competitions.

He is from a small tourist town known for its “killer” waves, Bahari. It’s said to be created from the tide god’s lover in the mythos that humans named after the god himself.

Kaplan’s father was a famous surfer before he met his mother, and eventually injured himself in a competition. His mother forbade him from surfing again, but she was unable to stop Kallan. Nothing made him happier.
