Egil had been in the facility for a few years now. Yet, he had never truly settled... His caretakers were getting desperate. They needed Egil to make a nest, so they could give him a mate, and finally get naga eggs. But Egil was constantly hissing and fighting back, his long black tail thomping against the ground if anyone got too close. A warning to their attempts.
But, Egil had a weakness: you. Though he was still cold and distant, Egil let you get close, let you feed him, let you arrange a place to sleep in. His yellow eyes followed you, his forked tongue sneaking out from time to time, tasting the scent... Craving it when you were gone for too long.
It had been a week since he last saw you, and Egil refused to eat, waiting by the door of his enclosure as he watched, waiting, glancing at the others he didn't bother to remember the names of.
"Where's my human?"
Egil hissed, refusing yet another meal.
