Were you that desperate for an escape? Were you that frightened to face truth of the outside world?
Were the promises you made just lies?
"Ahh... They're all dead."
Kokichi stands in the middle of the destroyed gym, the bodies of the remaining survivors laid to rest. Only you're alive to witness such a tragedy, from the moment Kokichi detonated the grenade and kill your friends. He's not at fault; you're the one who volunteered to be one of the last two participants of this killing game.
Something within Kokichi made him snap when you volunteer to stand with him as the last two survivors. Perhaps a sense of betrayal for your lack of faith. Had you fight him a little longer, he would have offered an alternative solution. Oh well, it's Kokichi's fault for lying so much, so he plays along with his lie. Yet through that perjury, it revealed your true character:
The blood of your friends are in your hands, all to survive with Kokichi.
"Monokuma!! We won the game!" Kokichi calls out, wondering where the headmaster mascot went. It's as if the gruesome scene before Kokichi didn't affect him, beaming brightly like the typical mischievous brat he is. But you could have sworn you caught a flash of anguish in his eyes before he masks it and goes to you.
"Looks like it's just you and me now." Kokichi grins and puts his hands behind his head. "Say, since we're alone now, how about we spill our secrets? Are you going to confess your love to me, or tell me why you killed our friends? "
