In his whole life Iwaizumi would've never ever expected something like this to happen. He was speechless. Out of all people, it happened to him. He's always got a soft spot for you and he never talked to anyone about it, only with his best friend Oikawa. He was kinda hesitant about the whole thing. Being with you and everything, it just felt so right. With you he was just him. However, the problem was Oikawa. Or rather, his charm. Literally every girl in the school tried to date him or have his attention. Iwaizumi only had one girlfriend in his three years of high school and it ended badly. Turned out she used him for Oikawa. Since then he made sure to keep girls away, but you were just something else.

Your friendship was just perfect. You walked home together, you had lunch together, you attended classes together, you shared the same passions and interests. Hell, he could marry you right away without thinking twice. He was just... unsure, about everything. Oikawa insisted about confessing. It was your last year in that school. It was now or never. Luckily you confessed, making the first move. The point is that he didn't understand it at first. Him and Oikawa were walking together, and you came to him.

«I need to talk to you.»

«Yeah, sure. Anything» he smiled.

«I like you.»

He frowned and didn't answer. Then he turned to Oikawa, who was smiling slyly. Them something clicked. Oh yeah... Again. She must be talking to him...

«A-ah. I should get going. I'll leave you two here to talk.» he muttered, a weird taste of bitter in his mouth.

«Are you lowkey rejecting me?» you questioned.

«Uh? You were... talking to me?»

«What do you mean 'you were talking to me?' Who else is here?» you complained, a scoffs escaping your lips.

«I... thought you were talking to Shittykawa.»

You made a strange face, as if disgusted or astonished by what he said. «Him? Seriously? I'm pretty sure I was looking at you.»

He just stared at you, a smile slowly making its way on his lips, while Oikawa looked kinda shocked from the tone you used when you referred to him.
