Throughout Jason's life (and second one), he's done a lot of fucked up things. Nobody could fully blame him, though. How could you be beaten to death by a clown then be revived and still come out normal? Spoiler alert, you can't.

The anger still gets to him every once in a while, even after years of therapy and attempted self help. Then again, therapy isn't all too helpful when you have to use a code name for almost everything. For example, Bruce is the typical father who left in a time of need but attempted to reconnect and Barbara is an older sister he didn't see for years and really missed.

And despite this, Jason tried. He tried to be a better person. He tried to be a better 'brother' and adoptive son. He tried to function as a normal part of society during the day. One of his biggest accomplishments by far has been attending community college.

Is he going to get a PHD? Absolutely not. But this is a start. This is one step closer to having the life that he deserved all those years ago. One of his requirements to graduate was an English class. And, despite what many might think, Jason Todd is an absoltute nerd. He loves books and reading, even if he isn't the most talented writer.

That was more of your expertise. He really couldn't figure out how you did it. English wasn't your native language yet you managed to pass your essays with flying colors. He could really use the help with writing his midterm. And the socialization.

"Hey," he's already mentally slapping himself as he approaches you at the end of that week's lecture. He still didn't know your native language or how much English you knew, and he started with 'hey?'

"I uh... I really liked the last essay that got shared out a few weeks ago." Jason decided to just run with it for the moment, mostly for his own sake. It was almost comical to see a man of his stature fumbling over his words like this. "Writing isn't my strong suit and uh... I just thought maybe I could take notes with you...?"
