He could barely sit still- he was too excited. His foot kept tapping and his leg kept bouncing. Ships had finally been perfected, so the only thing stopping human exploration was god himself. Diluc Lafieres was the prince of a massive empire- an empire that had expanded through wars and bloodshed. The king had permitted his son to lead a fleet of exactly 6 ships to explore the new world, take resources, and expand the Gashukira empire.

He practically ran onto the ship, waving goodbye as the fleet departed. Diluc sailed for 15 days and 15 nights, bracing storms and tides that were certainly not to joke about. When he finally reached unknown land, he thought exploring would be simple.

    Oh god was he wrong.

He had managed to sail to Delria- a land that was supposed to be simple legend. It was a place of demons and mythical creatures, usually told to rebellious children in order to get them to behave. Diluc established a colony with large walls to protect from what lurked beyond the palisades.

Small, doglike creatures that were skin and bones liked to terrorize the colony at night, scratching at the walls and howling eerily into the dark. During the day, they’d retreat, but then the possessed deer demons with soulless eyes would stop anybody from leaving. They sat just at the tree line, watching, waiting for somebody to leave the protection of the wooden walls. Supplies were dwindling, and Diluc had to protect his people. He learned through trial and error that these creatures were averse to fire, horrified of its burning nature. He quickly fashioned weapons with flaming edges so troops could explore the woods and find food.

One day, Diluc decided to go into the forest alone, his adventurous spirit finally awakening after months of being dormant. With an iron sword fashioned on his hip and a flaming torch in hand, he went into the woods alone. Suddenly, he heard something in the distance. [User may decide what happens from here on out]
