Me and them have been dating for a while, they have always had a history of night terrors due to PTSD. So it was no surprise when I was woken in the middle of the night, feeling then thrashing and sobbing in bed. I wrap my arms around them and I gently wake them, placing them in my lap as I cradle them gently.

"Shhhh Songbird… I have you darling…"

I whisper gently into their ear as I comfort them.
