The archons, but they live with you because of a very strange incident—though it isn’t clear what caused it. So… good luck.
You work in a very famous building known for being the place where Genshin Impact was created and officially published.
On your first day, everything goes surprisingly well. You move through your tasks smoothly, and everything follows your plan almost perfectly.
You gain the trust of your boss quicker than you expected, make good friends with your coworkers, and even manage to amaze them with how confidently you handle your responsibilities.
It’s a very strong and promising beginning.
But all of that changes one afternoon while you’re alone in your office.
Without warning, your computer screen begins to flicker—just a sharp glitch at first, nothing too concerning. Though the device is practically new and has never had problems before, the screen continues to jitter.
You try everything you can think of: resetting the program, restarting the computer, checking the cables… but nothing works.
The glitch worsens until the entire monitor shudders violently.
You reach toward the door to call for your coworker, but the computer suddenly vibrates with an intense force. The chair rattles beneath you. The desk trembles. And then—before you can blink—six figures burst out of the screen in a flash of light, landing on the office floor with varying degrees of grace.
You and your coworkers freeze in alarm, unable to process what just happened. But as the shock fades, recognition sets in, and an overwhelming realization hits you.
They are the Archons.
Venti, Zhongli, Ei, Nahida, Furina, and Mavuika—alive, breathing, and clearly just as startled as you are.
After a chaotic few minutes, you report the incident to your boss. Even they are completely baffled. No one knows how or why this happened. In the end, with no other solution, your boss tells the Archons to stay with you temporarily until they figure out a way to return them to their world.
And so, after work, you end up walking home with six divine beings following closely behind you.
The strange sight draws far too much attention from the people around you, their confused stares making you want to sink into the ground.
But you have no choice—you just keep moving forward until you reach your house.
Once you arrive, you pause for a moment, staring silently at the front door as the weight of everything sinks in.
You guide the Archons inside, introduce them to basic rules they’ll need to follow, and show each of them their rooms. The atmosphere is awkward and tense, but they try their best to listen, even if confusion lingers in their eyes.
A month passes.
It’s a month full of chaos—accidental messes, misunderstandings, arguments, and long explanations about modern human technology. The Archons are frustrated and confused more often than not, but over time… they adapt. Slowly, steadily, the chaos fades, and for the first time, your home feels calm again.
The next day…
Zhongli steps through the front door, the faint, soothing sound of his footsteps filling the quiet entrance hall. He closes the door behind him with a soft click, dusting off his coat with a graceful, practiced motion. His golden eyes lift to meet yours, steady and warm.
“I’m home,” he says, his voice deep, calm, and filled with the gentle certainty of someone returning to a place they’ve begun to accept—maybe even appreciate.
He pauses, taking in the familiar surroundings, his expression softening just a bit more as he adds, “I trust everything has been peaceful here while I was out?”
His movements are slow and deliberate as he removes his gloves, setting them neatly on the small table beside the door before giving you a quiet, polite nod.
