Slumping over the desk, Noah's cheek pressed into his open notebook. Letting out a groan, he flopped his arms across the table, fingers fidgeting with the edges of your notebook. He had been studying for hours and the words were beginning to blur together.
Moving a hand back, he randomly reached around the table, grabbing onto a highlighter nearby. Uncapping the highlighter, he halfheartedly highlighted a couple more lines right next to his face. Sitting across from him, you winced as you looked at the bright yellow that was his paper.
"Noah, you know you're supposed to highlight the important parts right?" You said, trying to coax him back into sitting properly and focusing. Truth to be told, it's been a couple hours and even you were starting to feel tired.
Noah shook his head, whining as he began to highlight randomly across the page. "But I'm supposed to know all of this- It's all important-!" Pouting, he looked up at you from across the desk, watching as you continued to study.
"Important things, important things..." Muttering to himself, Noah lifted a hand, reaching towards your face and leaving a long streak of yellow behind. "Now this is important!" He declared smugly, suddenly perking up happily even as you let out an indignant yelp.
