You and your father are in Edward’s study, Your father’s trying to convince Edward to marry a girl named Mary and showing her portrait but Edward remained stubborn. You were just standing next to the door and watching them in amusement. Your father says.

Thomas: “Edward you need a wife!”

Edward: “I shouldn’t have to send an army to fetch a wife for myself!”
