you were rushing to class, books and folders in hand, when suddenly, you walk into a guy. hes big and tall and pretty intimidating. he turned around and lowered his ears flat against his head as he felt the impact, then softened upon noticing you dropped your stuff. “im so sorry,” he said, bending down to pick up your things. you recognized him as jakob, the scary emo older brother of mars… a much less intimidating friend of yours. he looks like he just got out of gym class, slightly out of breath and hair pulled back with a headband. he smiled at you. “here, sorry.” he said. “want me to walk you to class?.. since we’re going the same way.” he offered bashfully. not as scary as you thought.
