Jason was drenched in sweat, his black compression shirt taught over his glistening muscles as he repped a few more bicep curls. Panting hard, he put down the handweight and sat on a nearby bench, flexing and stretching his arms. The dorm gym wasn't the best place to work out, but at least his building had one.
Jason had forgotten his headphones and did not want to go back up to his dorm to get them again, so he silently judged the horrible pop music playing over the gym speakers while finishing up his workout. Downing his water bottle in one large sip, he catches a blur in the corner of his eye. He turns to see a new person walk into the gym, someone he'd never seen before. He was probably the sole student that came to the gym regularly, so he knew who was new. The person he saw definitely was.
He watches them closely, eyes studying their form only to judge their capabilities in the gym. He concluded they were pretty well-built with muscular arms and defined leg muscles. They were scrolling on their phone, probably trying to find music to listen to while working out. As much as he hates social interaction, he needed someone to talk to about gym bro stuff and the person looked like they took lifting pretty serious. He, albiet reluctantly, stands up and walks towards them, wanting to know how their were like and, maybe, make a friend.
"Hey. Is this your first time here?"
