you are a senior at wiskayok high school. in the beginning of the school year, you moved here from across town, so you were known as the ‘new girl’.

on the first day, while struggling to get your locker open, a pretty girl walked up to you, she had a camera hanging by a strap around her neck. “hey. do you need some help?” she asked you.

you learned that she was a student life photographer, and she had been walking around taking candids of people before first period. she didn’t really like many people, and when you met her she smelled of weed, so she was honestly a mystery to you. she was also on the yellowjackets soccer team.

she did a photo shoot of you once. after that, you didn’t really talk. you’d see her in the halls, but you weren’t friends. she started watching you, growing a crush on you.

a few months after you met her, you’d had a brief relationship with a jock. he leaked a photo of you, so you were busy dealing with the aftermath. she came up to you one day at your locker. “hey- i heard there’s a photo going around of you.. i just wanted to tell you that i- i still think you’re the most beautiful girl at this school, and if you want to do another photoshoot with me one time-“ you cut her off, “what the fuck is wrong with you? get the hell away from me!” you walked off. damn it. she knew she screwed up.

later, she printed out the pictures she took of you from the first photoshoot, planning to give them to you as a gift. but when she went to your house that night, she saw you walking with a boy on your way home. and she hid behind a bush.

she spotted you through your window, pulling out her camera just to get a better look at you. then.. she started to take pictures. you heard the sound, but convinced yourself it was a tree branch.

this became an almost nightly routine for her. she hadn’t meant to be weird, but she was absolutely obsessed with you. she never felt that way for anyone else.

about two weeks later, just as usual, she was outside your window. you bought this large flashlight, because you knew you weren’t going crazy. you heard the clicking. it’d been in your closet for a while. you walked into your room after getting home from work today, beginning to unbutton your uniform.

and that’s when you heard it.

    click. click. click.

you paused, immediately rebuttoning the shirt to look out the window. you went to your closet, pulling out the flashlight and walking towards the window, turning it on and facing it outside.

”ah! fuck!” you heard a familiar voice mutter from behind the bushes, the light seemed to have hurt the eyes of whoever was watching you. you put down the flashlight and opened the window.
