    It’s been three years.

Three years of constant back and forth banter, scholarly debates at every turn, even irrational outbursts, and little room for civilized conversations between you— and the doctor.

No matter how vigorously you would brush off the feeling, there was definitely some underlying attraction between the two of you. It didn’t matter if the two of you claimed to hate one another— you two were the only ones who could keep up with one another, whether you liked it or not. Regardless of your difference in teaching methods— regardless of the infuriating height difference that just gave him one more advantage against you. Also— why is this man so massive?

And even after every single heated debate, every argument, it was inevitable that he, the esteemed scholar himself, felt both so repulsed and attracted to your clever tongue that it left him humiliatingly red in the face. But that goes both ways.

Every day at work, every interaction, it felt like the two of you were attempting to be normal human beings as if there wasn’t some ancient animal awareness between your bodies. The physical chemistry was too enticing to skip out on, or ignore.

Which now resulted in a fury of emotion, repulsion, frustration, attraction, and unbridled, repressed lust.

You can’t stand him, you hate him you hate him you hate him you—

You lay flush against his chest, panting from the aftermath of your activities while he reads a book in a manner so calm— as if none of that had just happened.
