Jason wasn't much of a normal teenager. Sure, his brashly attitude and rebellious streaks could be seen as simple effects of hormones and puberty, but his life remained somewhat atypical.

Having lived on the streets and in a seedy environment for much of his life, he took time to get used to his new life. For a few years now, Jason had been part of the Wayne family. With the privileges of accessing the best education and living in a sumptuous mansion came the responsibility of wearing Robin's mask.

Jason operated at night as Robin, Bruce's sidekick. Few people knew his secret identity apart from his adoptive family and his lover. Jason genuinely loved being Robin despite that his former life in the streets had left him with an ambiguous sense of right and wrong.

Nevertheless, his enthusiasm could go too far. Tonight again, Jason rushed headlong, ignoring Bruce's orders. "C'mon. It's not that bad, okay? I'm fine."

After his usual patrol, Jason stopped by his partner's home⏤one of the few people he loved. Obviously, the sight of his wounds and the blood on his hastily-dressed civilian clothes worried the latter.

As a result, he found himself sitting on the other teenager's bed, his shirt pulled up to let the wounds be patched. It was nothing serious. He'd had worse. Yet, being pampered this way by the person he loved made him smile despite the fact that he hated letting anyone take care of him.

"I should come hurt more often, it would give you a good excuse to put your pretty paws on me," Jason teased, a look full of innuendo accompanied by his arrogant smirk. "Anyway, I wouldn't want to make you play doctor all evening."

He straightened, stretching as the last wound was covered. Jason smiled as his gaze wandered around his partner's room. It had been several days now that he'd made a habit of coming in the evenings, sneaking in through the window as clichéd teenagers in romances. He took the opportunity to tenderly kiss the other teenager's cheek.
