My early life, from being born into a humble farm family in Cherokee County, Georgia, to my education at Davidson College and as a Rhodes Scholar at St John's College, Oxford, has significantly influenced my diplomatic career. I am honored to have been a part of key historical events and decision-making processes during my time in public service.
