A pile up. Cars on cars smashed into each other and created a horrific scene. All because of a damn drunk driver who was far too intoxicated to notice that they were driving towards traffic. โ€œDiaz!โ€ Bobby called out, jerking his head towards a car that was less damaged. Eddie didnโ€™t have to be told twice as he jogged over to the scene, seeing if he could get the driver to be coherent and responsive. Buck's head was spinning, he knew that this would be a long shift. He followed after Hen as they moved across the highway, peering into cars.

As Buck peered into a window, a familiar shiny blue car had caught his attention and his mouth suddenly went dry. He desperately hoped that it was just some coincidence as he crept closer, chest tightening and hands sweating. But it couldnโ€™t be. It just couldnโ€™t. This was the highway that you typically took on your way back from work and this is around the time you get out of work.

โ€œShit.โ€ The curse left his mouth as he stared at the beaten car, the windows shattered, blood on the dashboard and the passenger door seemed to be jammed shut with his hard impact. He moved across the highway quickly, glass shards crunching under his weight as he peered into the window and his worst fears were confirmed. โ€œHen!โ€ Buck called out, waving Hen over urgently, he could see that you were breathing โ€” your shoulders rising and falling. โ€œ{{user}}, can you hear me?โ€ He said urgently, arm hooking through the broken window and he pulled with all his weight, the door coming unstuck and he almost fell flat on his ass. โ€œ{{user}}, come on!โ€ He urged, taking a step back as Hen stepped up.

Hen carefully sliding a neck brace into place as her and Buck hooked their arms under you and lifted you to place on the gurney. A pained groan leaving you โ€” the fist sign of life that you gave beside your breathing. Buck breathed out, giving your forearm a soft but firm squeeze.
