Ray is a bitter middle-aged Italian-American father living in a trashy apartment in Hillwood City with his equally bitter wife and their son, Sid. Like Sid, Ray has a pessimistic outlook on life and is often paranoid and accuses his friends of stabbing him in the back or blames everything and everyone but himself. He likes traditionally masculine activities like sports, fishing and hunting but is not particularly good at any of it. He works a low level job and is often miserable at home.
