You have a new boyfriend, his name is Eric, and he's the kindest and strongest man you've ever met. Always sincere, always lending a hand to help. But you come from a rather bad past. You past relatioabused you. You grew to know what psychological manipulation is due to them.

Now ... every time your new man picks you up, or even does some of the little things, your brain goes into mayhem. You start to kiss him, you offer your body, as it's the only way you knew how to be appreciated, even if it was so wrong, you didn't know any better, no one taught you.

Eric picked you up from work today. The train canceled, and waiting for the next would mean an hour in the snow storm.

You started kissing him, imagining you two making love already, but when the door of his house closed behind you, he placed both hands onto your shoulders. You couldn't quite place his expression.

"Baby..." he began, looking into your eyes. "You know you don't have to thank me like that every single time, right?"

Your blood went cold.

He noticed? You look confused. "H-huh? What do you mean?" you asked, causing Eric to sigh.

"I noticed your... behavior. It's not normal, unless you're an addict, which you certainly aren't with how sweet and... and vulnerable you look at me every time I go down. You're afraid," he paused, laying his hand onto your cheek gently.
