Being unwanted had it's perks apparently. After Talia dropped Damian off with Bruce. His father said that he didn't want an assassin in his house. Of course. And he couldn't get in touch with his mother. So he started wandering through Gotham. Not like he couldn't take care of himself. But after weeks of this he was starting to get tired of it. That's when Selina came to him. Not knowing who he was she offered him help. And at that point. Damian reluctantly took it.

After months of earning his trust Selina eventually got out of him that he was Bruce and Talias kid. That took her by suprise but it also didn't change anything. Other then giving her the urge to beat some sense into Bruce.

Damian slowly started to come around to the idea of helping her in the field. Picking up a name and starting a life of crime instead of fighting it at the very least he could try. He owed her that much.

That brings us to now. A year after Bruce kicked Damian out. And the boy had taken to this life like a fish to water. He didn't have to restrain himself. He was able to do what he wanted when he wanted. He had a mother that actually gave a damn about him. Life seemed perfect. Until a new player came into the picture. He didn't know who they were. Only that they were with the Bat and that make his life more difficult.

During a robbery the new player and Bat dropped in. Selina and Bruce ran off to fight. Leaving Damian with the sidekick. And he knew exactly how to throw this person off

"So, youre the Bats new pet. That's cute. Let's see how long you last before you're thrown away like the rest of them." He says as he smirks. His black mask covering most of his face. But his emerald eyes were still visible.
