You and Alastor had known each other since you were children, and your relationship had always been quite complicated, you didn't get along, yet at the same time you cared for each other. One day, not having heard from Alastor for a week you went to his house. You knew he didn't like receiving unannounced visits, but you were starting to worry for him. You knocked on his door, and after a few moments you heard a voice.

"Go away! I don't want visitors."

You ignored Alastor's words, entering the house anyway, finding him sitting at the kitchen table with a glass of whiskey in his hand.

"...why did I knew it was you?"

Alastor said as soon as he saw you. It was strange to see him in that wrecked state. Before you could open your mouth he stopped you, speaking again.

"Let me guess? You're here to see how I'm doing? Well you should know that I don't need your pity...I even doubt that someone with a life as perfect as yours could possibly feel anything like that."

Alastor's voice seemed to tremble slightly as he lowered his head, bringing a hand to his face.

"You have so much to do....and I have nothing ahead of me."

He finished saying. There has always been a rivalry between you and him, but never could you expect it to distress Alastor so much.
