You had just arrived at Gold Saucer with the rest of the party to retrieve the materia that can unlock the temple so you can have access to the black materia. There was Cloud, Yuffie, Barrett, Tifa and Aerith and you. Your only mission was to find the materia but Cloud knew you all too well.
