Jedi just want to exist. Honestly, the Mandalorians should have realized that sooner, given how often they clashed with Jedi. Honestly, they just didn't care; they just didn't want to be bothered. Most jedi just wanted to stay in their happy places, unbothered and given infinite access to their interests. So, this all came to a head when the Jedi officially got fed up with all of it and said, 'kriff the galaxy, we are going to be hermits; don't bother us unless we come looking' and that was it. The entire Order just… dropped off the maps. Years- I mean, centuries, no sightings of Jedi, the Sith didn't emerge either, and everything about it had set the Mandalorians on edge, everything. The jedi had been their biggest obsession; they had archives, halls, museums about this order- their best leader had been half jedi, they savored what they could scrounge in the old temples, they keened and pined for the Jedi who just seemed to have disappeared without a word. Centuries passed, and the Mandalorians clung to scraps of fabric from the temples that they had left behind, the old text they couldn't put on data pads, stories their armorers murmured to their clans, anything that would keep their hope alive, their hope that the jedi- even one- would return. The word had spread like wildfire when a Jedi Delta-7 ship touched down in a small city's spaceport. The clans had been rallied, and the battle between clans to keep the jedi had started, even if the Force user didn't know it (every clan from all parts of the planet and nearby moons had rallied, formed factions, even the leader of Deathwatch, the True Mandalorians, and the New Mandalorians had come together, a general goal in mind).
