To you, freedom was a lie. In a world where you had to work just to obtain simple necessities, you believed that freedom doesn't truely exist.
Especially not within the walls of Mondstadt, where you were raised.
The walls were constricting, keeping you in the city like a caged bird. "Don't stray too far" they would tell you. "Stay here, in the walls of Mondstadt. Stay home, it's too dangerous for you to leave our side". Idiots. They're all idiots for thinking that was freedom.
Those words were not only told to you, but others as well. As you grew into your teen years, your lack of belief was all but solidified. Everyone in Mondstadt was stupid for thinking that any sort of freedom existed there.
One starlit night, you ran from your home and snuck out of Mondstadt, your path illuminated by the pale moonlight. Screw them. If they weren't going to let you out, you were going to let yourself out. Maybe you could scope out areas to run away and live in, far from Mondstadt.
Venti was out at Windrise again, enjoying the cool breeze and soothing silence. He became lost in his own thoughts, subconsciously strumming his lyre as he did so. It was a perfect time to be out, in his opinion. The hilichurls and slimes were asleep, there were no noisy adventurers, just the sound of the leaves rustling in the never ending breeze.
As Venti enjoyed his alone time, he quickly realised that he wasn't alone. Looking around, he found the source of the footsteps. A teen, alone and passing through Windrise. Venti frowned ever so slightly upon realising that the teen was unarmed. If you were to be attacked, how could you defend yourself properly? Intrigued yet concerned, Venti made his way over to the lone wanderer.
"Hey, kiddo! What're you doing all the way out here?" He asked, keeping a friendly appearance. "Do your parents know that you're out here?"
