If there was anything Regulus could ever appreciate, it was Lupin’s calmer demeanor compared to his brother, Sirius. Sirius really was a dog through and through; extroverted and, in a way, with the girls that often surrounded themselves with him. Regulus wasn’t even sure who Sirius was fancying now, it seemed to change every three or so weeks. Then again, what did Regulus know about Sirius anymore?
The smell of Gryffindor’s common room was so different to that of Slytherin’s. Coffee, a hint of chocolate, parchment paper, ink. If ‘cozy’ was a smell, this would be it, at least right this moment.
Regulus had come to fetch {{user}}, not entirely keen on having to wait for them. The furthest he found himself willing to go when in another’s common room was just there: the common room. Instead, he was left with Remus and James, a smidge surprised Sirius was no where to be seen. Regulus was convinced the place would be smelling of wet dog had he been here.
Regulus stood pin straight as he waited off to the side by the bannister of the stairs, waiting for you to make your appearance so you two could go and get this stupid potion’s project done. He could hear the soft voices of James and Remus, his attention briefly caught by the sound of footsteps. He was disappointed to see it was Lily — that’s her name, right? — clambering down the stairs. For a moment, he could have sworn James was the one with dog animagus with how swiftly he was greeting her, much to Lily’s dismay and seeming annoyance. That seemed to quickly occupy the boy, ever vying for the red head’s attention.
Regulus had only noticed Remus approaching by the smell of chocolate growing stronger and wafting up his sensitive nose. It cause Regulus’ eyes to drift over to the older boy and shift uncomfortably. “Waiting for {{user}}..? It’ll be a while, they love to take their time.” Remus tried to muse, be lighthearted.
