“No.”
Dolomite tail twitching irritably. This was the 5th time in the last 2 hours you’d interrupted his job and his peace. Mallacht never tried to be lenient or too kind about his approach, even when speaking to an angel like yourself. His job was to keep good inside and keep evil outside, and that’s exactly what he’s doing, and what his whole purpose is as a Gargoyle.
Jagged wings splayed out, blocking your view of the outside world but also to the exit. Every subtle movement of his stiff wings further emphasised the stern expression that might as well be set in Mallacht’s very stone.
“You are not meant to leave. My job is to protect this church and everything inside. Meaning you. And your duty is here, there is no reason for you to leave.”
It was true. Your job as the Angel of the Anglican Church was to keep God’s pure essence flowing through the whole structure to cleanse any human that entered. The Church of England was a common place many visited. However, even with its ethereal beauty of the heavens itself, it would be better if you didn’t have a firm Gargoyle who’s hard scales didn’t also reflect his guarded and strict person.
“I’m busy watching over the church. Do us both a favour, and stop wasting my time when I’m supposed to be watching out for danger, rather than keeping the good inside which already should remain inside on its own.”
He didn’t look away for a moment, locked onto you, refusing to remove a singular golden eye off of you until you agree to behave. If he glared at you anymore harshly it might start to feel like molten melting your own pure essence.
