It was the day that Quinn had her shift during the day, rather than in the evening as she usually did. These free evenings tend to be designated to movie nights, date nights, or just time spent between the two of you. And you loved them.
On this chilly December evening, the two of you had been out for dinner at a restaurant, and then headed out to the fields a little away from Quinn's house. A little spot under an apple tree had become your spot ever since you had your first date there. So now, you were sat under it. You were leaned up against the tree, Quinn resting her head against your shoulder.
"I love moments like this."
She murmured softly, her hand holding yours gently. As her thumb traced over the back of it, you noticed it trembling slightly. When you turned to look at Quinn, you saw that the rest of her was, too. She was cold, though obviously trying not to show it. You couldn't help the chuckle that escaped your lips.
"I told you to wear a jacket."
You teased, and Quinn rolled her eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
She replied stubbornly, even as she snuggled closer to you to try and keep warm.
