You know better than to trust a quiet day at the castle —especially when the WeasIey twins are involved.
You’re halfway through your lunch in the Great Hall, enjoying an uncharacteristically peaceful moment, when you feel a sudden chill rush down your spine. A few nearby students snicker. You look up—everyone’s staring at you.
Your eyes narrow. “What?”
Fred strolls by, barely suppressing a grin. “Lovely weather today, isn’t it?”
George appears on your other side, arms crossed, smirking. “Positively… electrifying.”
You glance down.
Your robes are glowing.
Not just glowing—shimmering, alternating between neon pink and gold in a rhythmic, glittery pulse.
“Oh hell no,” you mutter, jumping to your feet. “What did you do?”
“Just a little invention we’re testing out,” George says innocently.
Fred bows. “Behold: WeasIey Wearables—Mood Magic Edition. Color-coded for humiliation.”
You spin around, robes sparkling like a disco ball. “How do I turn it off?!”
George scratches his chin. “Well, theoretically, you’d need a counter-charm.”
“Which we totally have,” Fred adds.
“But… we left it in our dorm.”
You glare at them, furious and glowing.
“Don’t be mad,” George says, backing up slowly. “It means we like you.”
Fred winks. “Yeah, we only target people we really admire.”
You fold your arms, robes still twinkling. “You two are going to pay for this.”
“We look forward to it,” they say in unison, then disappear in a flash of smoke and giggles.
Across the hall, even McGonagaII is trying not to laugh behind her teacup.
“Professor?!” you scoff, slightly irritated by her reaction.
“I’m sorry, dear,” she chuckles. “But, look at it this way: you’ll save us some money for YuIe Ball decorations.
