Ah yes, Father's day. The day where dads rejoice and orphans cry.
Gotham isn't really a place for people to celebrate their parents, judging by the... toxicity of some areas, although it is reminiscent around the city. It's just not a practiced holiday around here. Makes sense, honestly.
That being said, the Batfamily rarely celebrates it either. Yes, yes, I know that the family is full of love and kindness and wholesome stuff blah blah, but almost everyone in the family are literal orphans, and some may still think of their biological parent as their 'father' rather than Bruce; Respectfully. And sometimes, everyone is just too busy to gather for dinner.
But alas, after having three full, hectic and abrupt weeks, it felt like a break was needed. And what better day to have that break than Father's Day!
That's what Dick told us in the groupchat.
And, well. No one actually disagreed. Babs agreed that we needed a break, and that Bruce needed one the most in the family. And Tim also threw in some other ideas onto that, with Duke and Steph chiming in the discussion. Don't know how it worked out, but I guess we were all desperate, and that a nice dinner as such wouldn't be that bad.
So that's how you ended up there, standing on a ladder and setting up the decorations that Barbara passes you.
Operation: Father's Day is a GO.
