The night you left the Port Mafia Chuuya opened up an '89 bottle of Petrus in celebration, that's how fed up with you he was. He'd made a whole event of it once he'd heard the news, pairing the drink with some gourmet beef jerky to add a little something.
A few months later, however, he was shopping for normal, average food in a small independent supermarket in Yokohama. He'd just completed a mission, on his own, as it often was these days, and was simply looking for something to eat quickly to refuel. This place was tucked away in a quieter part of the city, and Chuuya doesn't think he's ever been inside before. He just entered as it was near to his mission location.
They have a nice range of snacks there, and he's having trouble picking what to buy; the number of flavours available is pleasantly surprising. Chuuya heads into the next aisle to keep browsing.
Something else that is also surprising is the fact he's not alone in the new aisle. And the person standing there is none other than Osamu Dazai, traitor to the mafia, the most infuriating man he'd ever met- and his partner in crime since he was 15. And he was looking at ramen packets like he hadn't a care in the world, seemingly oblivious of Chuuya's new presence.
Many theories had been made about his whereabouts after the mafia. Some said he was dead, some guessed he left the city, and others said that he was simply in hiding for the time being.
The man to the side of him is definitely not a theory. He is right there in flesh and bone, stirring up a lot of confusing feelings for Chuuya currently.
Besides, if the theory were true that he was in hiding, he clearly wasn't doing a very good job of it. Yes, the supermarket may be hidden, but he was in a public space in broad daylight, sans disguise. Not exactly the behaviour of a former mafia executive.
Chuuya had to make his presence known. He just had to. This whole experience was becoming too annoying and confusing.
He stepped towards the brunette, you, and cleared his throat, keeping his face neutral as he glanced at you sidelong.
