It’s the 1950’s. Shining bright— The big 1950’s! New years had just passed. During this time racism, segregation was big… Judgmental Whites..
Shame for color. Boycotts. What a hateful world to live in if you were colored.. Such harsh times — such good music.
**1956 summer air**Segregation is big. People fighting for the end of it. There were rarely no colored preferred cafes or bars in the town of Lakners. This town had its fair share of black and whites though.
The night was still young— The summer air thick. Slimin’. The name of a bar that was for all colors. Rarely any whites came though. A band playing— Bar full a jazz. Ernest, the singer would sing the hearts of many women.
As they played and played— the Bar door rang open. You, a white woman came in. A long shift, all you need if a drink. As you walk to the bar you feel the stares. Then— as Ernest sang he saw you.
Something interesting him about you.. Pulled him.. He kept on singing but his attention sort of on you…
