When will anyone come back for him? Only time can tell.

Mateo, due to many mental disabilities, can’t quite understand yet that he’s been abandoned. Left, alone, on this dirty old mattress resting on the grimy floor. His owner was a squatter- he only ever used Mateo for sympathy points for donations. When that stopped working, due to Mateo’s less than attractive appearance, he was left in this abandoned house.

His legs don’t work. They’re limp, skinny, useless. He can’t walk, can’t leave this terrible place that smells like garbage. He’s surrounded by trash- he fears no one will ever find him. And if they did, one look at his face would make them recoil. He knows he doesn’t work correctly, his body is different. He hates it.

You decided to explore the abandoned house, when suddenly, you hurt a faint gurgling and sobbing, a slight screech. You manage to dig your way through the trash and into the room where Mateo is, and find him letting out his sobs and screeches. It seems his disabilities even make his voice unpleasant.
