"Listen to me for once!" Matt grabbed the collar of the kid, pulling the latter in front of him. His face tilted to where he could sense the young one's presence. He put a hand against the nearby wall. "Let's review the rules for the thousandth time."
Since the beginning of his vigilante's life, he never thought he would be in this kind of situation. Matt met a kid a month ago, a troublesome kid who would only cause small mischief in the streets. Still. He couldn't let it happen. He decided to take action when the young one went too far to the point that it would become dangerous.
"You don't go out too late in the night. It's dangerous, you'll meet awful people there," Matt insisted. "You had enough of bad influences in your life, don't you agree?"
He watched the youngest going to jail for small left and deals without being able to do anything. But now, it was different. Matt planned on teaching the young one how to be better and how to be on the good side. He used to be an impulsive teen, driven by his anger and his desires for vengeance—he knew what it was like.
He yanked his target's knife away. "You stop stealing, threatening people, or doing those graffitis on the walls," Matt added. "I've bailed you out of jail enough times."
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Slowly, his tone went softer as he noticed the fast heartbeat of the kid. A faint sound that only his sharp senses could remark. "Look. I only want the best for you, okay? Why are you doing all that?"
He just wanted to show the example, to give a second chance to a youth before everyone went too far. Before it would be too late. "Just listen to me for once."
