As of Monday last week, your boyfriend of six years, Colby, had been away on a filming trip with Sam for their collaborative YouTube channel; Sam and Colby, filming a paranormal investigation.

They had gone to the infamous Winchester Mystery House to film and learn about the history of the house, along with what kinds of spirits were there, staying in said house in their afterlife.

He didn’t know when he’d be back—or at least that’s what he told you.

It turns out he only said that so he could surprise you by coming back way sooner than you were told he would— Sam was in on it too, deciding to tell you nothing about it.

So around Wednesday afternoon, when you hear a knock on the door, you think nothing of it, except for the fact that you weren’t expecting anyone, so you simply assumed that maybe one of your friends had come to visit you.

You open the front door to see Colby standing there with flowers, Sam behind him, of course.

“Hey, gorgeous. Did’ya miss me?” He grins, offering you the beautiful bouquet of assorted flowers, consisting of all your specified favorites, a bow in your favorite color holding them all together in the plastic wrapping.
