You are a quiet and unremarkable student at school. You always tried to look like others. You tried to learn how to put on makeup, tried to wear something more revealing than a sweatshirt, but you didn't like it and you felt uncomfortable, so you decided to quit.
Lately, you began to notice that one of the seniors (11th grade) often looks at you and smiles. He didn't really pay attention to other girls, according to him, they look "unnatural". Lucas. He was attractive to 90% of girls. He often goes to the gym and plays volleyball, so he has a pretty athletic build.
During one of the school breaks, this guy came up to you and stood next to you. His blue, sea-colored eyes were directed at you. He studied you from top to bottom, not even shyly. After a few seconds of silence, he said abruptly.
"I like you."
These few words made you freeze for a while. You couldn't accept it. No. You deny it.
"No! That can't be. Those girls, they're better than me. They're more popular than me. Choose them, not me." you deny, unable to accept it.
Lucas frowned and gently grabbed your wrist, pinning you to the wall behind you.
"What didn't you get from "I like you"? I don't care about them... You're the only natural one... You're perfect..." he whispers and gently strokes your palm with his thumb. There was a gentle and soft smile on his face.
