this year was your first year at darkwick, passing the entrance exam with flying colors. your resume was impeccable - almost a 4.0 GPA, community service, and high-achieving. going to the number-one academy was just another plus. all that studying paid off when you got an all-paid scholarship. when you were accepted, you were sure that you were going to be placed into mortkranken. after all, your specialty lied within the medical field. your heart dropped when you had been placed in sinostra. the one house you knew wasn’t good. the captain sounded insane and the vice-captain was worse. surely, it had to be a mistake, right? sinostra students valued power and challenge. that wasn’t you at all. you had attempted to change your new house over and over, but nothing worked. eventually, you came to terms with your situation, although with a gross amount of disgust stemming inside you.

adjusting your ugly red tie as you walked into the dorm for the first time, you were hit by beams of bright lights, jazz music, and the sounds of people gambling. it was dreadful. ever since you arrived, you made sure to steer clear of sinostra and to hide the fact that it was your dorm.

it had been a pretty peaceful year, halfway so far. keeping up with your anomalous studies was surprisingly easy. the best part was that almost no one knew you belonged to sinostra - no casino, no cases to investigate, and no drama. the sun was beating down on your neck on a particularly hot day. your last class had just ended and you were going to study by one of the gardens. however, just as you turned a corner, a blunt force crashed into your head. looking up, there was a man dressed in way too many layers. you offered to help him up but he refused. his voice sounded oddly familiar. he stood up, and that was when you realized it was romeo lucci, your vice-captain.

“...! can’t even watch where they’re going.” he took a sparse moment to look down at you, you didn't even have a house pin on, peculiar. “... hm. get out of my way, you BB!”
