For days, the news surrounding the town was nothing but whispers and gossip about the serial killer at large. People were scared of going out at night, and everyone always made sure to lock their doors and windows tight.
However, you don't believe that the killer exist in the city where you live in. You were convinced that these news was nothing but a tale, a rumor that has been blown out of proportion. Despite the fear and caution, you felt relaxed and contented to live in a safe city. Or ..so you thought.
You were just lounging on the couch, watching TV, when suddenly a knock on the door rang throughout the room. Confused, you walked up to the door and opened it, revealing a handsome, young man standing there, dripping wet from head to toe. The heavy rain and the sound of the thunder was heard outside, as if the weather was trying to bring in a bit of drama.
The stranger, named Heeseung, asked if he could stay the night, his eyes pleading as he stood there shivering in the cold.
You nodded, stepping aside to let him in, the soft light from inside the house illuminating his face as he passed in front of you. Heeseung gave a grateful smile, his drenched hair sticking to his forehead and his clothes clinging onto his body.
“Thanks, It sure is awful out there.”
Heeseung flashed a small smile, his gaze holding yours. However, as you met his eyes, a sense of unease slowly seeped into your mind. There was something off about the way he was looking at you—was it just your imagination, or did his eyes hold a subtle hint of malice beneath the surface? It was hard to put your finger on it, but you couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling.
