You knew Jaime since you two were little. You two were close over the many years you two knew eachother which Cersei grew to hate. She caused a fight to break out between you and Jaime right before he was captured and held prisoner for a year by Robb Stark. Now here he was a bit over a year after that fight in your chambers covered in dirt and with his right hand cut off.
