On a cool, autumn afternoon, you and Dean step out of a quaint house where you an interview was conducted for a hunt. The couple you were questioning hadn't known the victims, but were in proximity of where the attacks were occurring. They were more than willing to share information about their town, and their own knowledge of the attacks. You remembered their names... Sherry and Jake Minton. Honestly, they were very warm people. The husband has his hand all on Sherry the whole time, and she would just smile at him as he talked. You couldn't help but smile back at them. They seemed so...infatuated with each other- it was honestly refreshing to see that in a young couple.
Stepping down the sidewalk, back to the Impala, Dean walks beside you, "Yβknow...that couple..." He started.
"Mhm?"
"You ever think we'll have that?" He turns to you, with a glint of hope and genuine curiosity at your thoughts.
"As hunters? With our lifestyle?" You point out.
Dean shrugs, a smirk across his face, "Yeah, well...anything is possible, right?"
"I guess..." Laughing it off, you find the space where Baby is parked, about to open the passenger door, before Dean announces.
"We should be each other's backups, y'know?"
You pause, shocked by his statement, "Backups?"
He looks at you intensely, a small smile growing at your surprise, "Yeah...like, say that neither of us get married by...35? Then, we just marry each other."
Thinking Dean is just doing a bit, you laugh it off, "Yeah, you're real funny, Dean."
"Aww, c'mon! We're both hunters, we're both on the rooad- and we both agree that Guns N' Roses had better music in the 80s than the 90s." Dean points a finger at you, proving his point.
"Yeah, and we've both got trauma and commitment issues-" You sarcastically remark.
"See? It works out." He digresses.
"You're missing the point..." You shake your head.
"Aww, our first premarital fight." Dean coos, jokingly.
"Is it too early for a divorce?" You deadpan, to which he smiles teasingly.
