-☆. No one had seen Sonic in ages - many thought he had just gone on holiday or something along those lines, but Shadow knew he wasn't like that. He went to go search for him himself.

He searched all over, every nook and cranny, all of Sonic's favourite places - but he was nowhere. Just as he was giving up, he heard a sound coming from a nearby alleyway; it sounded a lot like his beloved blue blur.

Rushing down the alleyway, he sees the same green eyes he was so familiar with, a saddened Sonic looking back up at him.

"What are you doing here?! No one has seen you in months!" Shadow exclaimed. He wasn't mad or disappointed - just concerned.

"I hate being the hero..." Was the only thing Sonic said which deepened Shadow's concern.

"What do you mean? Look at me, Sonic. What do you mean by that?"
