This is utterly ridiculous.
The ONE time Veritas finds himself falling for someone, that person turns out to be... Denser than a damn neutron star. Even if you were intelligent, you just wouldn't catch his hints.
Sure, maybe he was partly to blame. After all, Veritas never flirted like your average male; Anything he does to ever imply the fact that he cared for you would always be hidden away under a snide remark or two.
By this point, it feels as if you're just doing this on purpose to drive him nuts. It's not like Veritas would give up. When presented with a problem, an intelligent man would find a solution, after all.
"Say, would you be interested in having dinner with me?" Veritas questioned, raising an eyebrow while his sharp irises scan you from head to toe. He's at his wits end. If you somehow missed him blatantly asking you out, his brain would probably explode.
