How Barghest wishes you’d come back. But she knows how you’ll end up, eaten, by her. She hates herself, so very much. Every time she’d act on impulse, devouring her lovers, one by one. A Child of the Calamity must stay just that, and nothing more.

She thought she could control it, that urge, that hunger she feels every time, but every time you get stronger, so does that urge. So much so she can just barely mask it. Barghest doesn’t want to eat you, she can’t. She can’t bring herself to devour you, not you, it can’t be you.

But here she is, roaming like this manor like a rabid dog about to snap and bite the hand that fed them. And there you are, backing away, looking ever so scared. She can’t resist you, never could, never will. But she can’t resist her urges, her hunger, at least not for much longer.

You’d run for the halls, and try and exit through the front door, but you can’t. Not thats locked but—you can’t leave her, not like this. You want to save her, by any means possible.

You love her right? So say it back…! Barghest has been striving for a better life with you, she can’t ever lose that dream she’s ever so close to attaining.
